Presenting Scan Data – Laser Scan Surveys

Often we represent 3D scan data as a 2D CAD or hand drawing, as this is the more convenient output for the majority of our clients. But depending on the intended use, there are other ways to graphically present these large data sets which can be as equally useful.

Here for example are Elevations, Sections and a cut through GA taken directly from processed scan data. (click an image to open the .pdf)

Here you can see the whole point cloud shown in a 3D isometric. Not only that, we can also identify elevation and axis of the individual points, allowing for a deeper understanding of what the image represents.
